Major Project: Final Render

I did some changes for my final 3D work. There are still 4 sections: Beading House, Congenital Heart Disease Information Booth, Art Market and Stage. The design, walkway and plan is a bit different. I've set arranged the other sections around the Beading House because it is the main attraction to the event, instead of just lining them up in one line. there are no pylons for the sponsor logos but, I've included them on other print media such as the buntings, flyers and packagings.

Robert B. Cialdini said on his article "The Power of Persuasion", if we provide means of exchange, we can attract a consumer to do what we want them to do, in this case, donating for the children's Congenital Heart Disease treatment. That is why my environmental solution to save children with Congenital Heart Disease is to provide a platform where people can pour in their money to help raising funds for their medical expenses.

Major Project: Art Market

Pyssla Beads Box Packaging & Display

The Pyssla Beads box is newly designed with Beads for Heartbeats & IJN Foundation logo on it. Acknowledgement on the Congenital Heart Disease donation is written on the packaging too.

One Cashier Counter is placed at each market platform to make it easier for the customers to pay.

Pyssla Beads Fashion Accessories Packaging & Display

Each Pyssla Beads Fashion Accessory is wrapped inside a plastic packaging and displayed at the circular tower product display.

Major Project: Beading House

Beading House

The Beading House have two sections, for adults and for children. This is to make it more comfortable for the adults (main target audience) to do make their beads creations. The Beading House walls are made of glass so that people outside can see what they are doing and get interested to join the beads-making. The scallop on the exterior roof of the Beading House is inspired by the signature pattern of ironed Pyssla Beads.

Adults Beading Table

Two main tools needed to make Pyssla Beads are Peg Boards and tweezers which are already prepared on the table. If the Beaders need inspiration on what shapes of Pyssla Beads they want to do, they can use the Digital Pyssla Beads Catalogue in front of them. The chairs are custom-made with a Pyssla Beads patterned back rest. The Pyssla Beads are categorized according to colours at the center of the Beading Table. While they are beading, they can read the CHD flyer placed on top of the Beading Table.

Kiddies Beading Table

The children's table set is smaller and short on height compared to the adult's. Their tweezers are made of plastic for the safety of the children. The furnitures used here are from IKEA's Mammut Children Table Set.

Ironing & Packaging Counter

After the Beaders have done making their own Beads creations, they can place a plastic lead on top of their peg board and bring it to the Ironing & Packaging Counter to flatten the arranged Pyssla Beads. They can also ask the staff to hook their desired fashion accessories to their flattened Pyssla Beads. They can either choose to bring the Pyssla Beads creations home or sell them at the Beads for Heartbeats Art Market.

Major Project: Stage

This is where the Beads for Heartbeats Acoustic Performance and donation giveaway to IJN Foundation Board of Director will be held. People can sit on the peach and pink puffy stools sponsored by IKEA. The stage is decorated with Beads for Heartbeats buntings and logo.

Major Project: Registration Booth

Only people who wants to go into the Beading House need to register. Once they registered, they can choose to donate RM5 / RM25 / RM50 or more to Beads for Heartbeats Campaign. The money will be donated to IJN Foundation. After they have registered, they can get a free pass to the Beads for Heartbeats Acoustic Performance. Other people who wants to donate to the cause can do so at the Registration Counter too.

Major Project: Congenital Heart Disease Info Booths

Information Booths

There are two information booths, one is filled with information on CHD, another one is the gaming booth. The booth horizontal cylinder build was inspired by the the shape of the Pyssla Beads. There's a circular window at the sides of each booth to enable people from outside to peek inside the booth.

A lounge is added in front of the Info Booths for people to rest after they've explored the entire booth and also to highlight IKEA's main product; furnitures. Used here are Klippan Sofa and Skruvsta Swivel Armchair. People can read on the CHD Flyers while they're sitting around.

Information Booth 1: Congenital Heart Disease Info Booth

CHD Info Booth have a touchscreen which enable people to know more about CHD virtually. people can move around their fingers on the black touchpad to navigate around the screen in front of them. Motion-info-graphics will be played of each topic will be played when they tap on a certain topic button.

On the other side of the booth are printed media information on CHD. Scientific sculptures can help them learn about CHD too. CHD Flyers are placed inside the white IKEA Pluggis pocket on the walls.

Information Booth 2: Gaming Booth

The gaming booth is made to test people's knowledge on CHD after they've gone to the Info Booth. They also stand a chance to win free pass to Beads for Heartbeats Acoustic Performace. They just have to win the "Patch 'Em Holes" Game on the red screen. The ticket will come out of the pink outlet if they win the game.

On the opposite side of the booth are two computers that allows visitors to browse Beads for Heartbeats website and play around the Digital Peg Board Editor, become a member of the campaign and found out more on the sponsors and the cause of the campaign.

Major Project: Artist Impressions

My lecturer said that the booth is not perfectly matched so I have to redesign some of the stuff here to make it look like it has one theme. well, he's got a point. I probably have to make that Heart with Hole Sculpture on the stage look more nouveau since the others kind of have that style too.

He also told me to add more Copy in there. I know I should have, but my vocab sucks so I couldn't think any good ones when i was doing the thing in vector. plus, I don't know where to put them. I'll figure something out.

That IKEA and IJN Foundation logo is actually made of big Pyssla Beads. That's why they look pointilised. I should make them as pylons instead of pasting them on walls coz as what I was told you'll never know where your booth will end up to be build. To be safe, the things that I design should be able to be put anywhere. What if there's no wall around the booth? So I have to make it stand on its own.

I think I accidentally said that the reason why acoustic band is going to perform at night during the event is because the target audience is a melodramatic person. Eek. This is not the kind of answer I wanted to tell. I got panicked so I answered wrongly. It's actually because if there's rock band playing, it wouldn't suit the whole campaign mood and theme. It wouldn't suit the target audience too which are sensitive, passionate cheerful hand-crafters. Besides, the campaign is about helping kids. Sure kids are hyperactive but, this is about helping sick kids. So, I think it'll be best and more sincere and sensual to use acoustic performances to grab people's heart to lend a hand. That was what I really wanted to answer.

Other than that, I believe it's going to be beautiful :) I tried playing around with Cinema 4D this week. I kinda have a rough start but, I think i can do it. Gila baru try pakai dah kena buat benda utk FYP.. Well, I can't put 3DsMax in my mac coz I dunno where to get it. So, had no other choice.
